Reaffirming Our Core Purpose

to network within our community and beyond to promote basic human rights and preserve equality, dignity, and respect for all humankind. We are, and will remain, apolitical and non-religious. We do not endorse any political party, faction, or religious institution. Our advocacy is grounded solely in universal human rights and the protection of every person’s inherent dignity in particular in Iran and here in Australia.

Solidarity with the People of Iran

In light of the ongoing recent events in Iran, AISOV stands with the people of Iran — women and men, young and old, of all faiths or none — who seek freedom, equality, justice, and safety. We condemn all breaches of human rights and acts of intimidation or violence against peaceful protesters, journalists, human rights defenders, and vulnerable communities. Our solidarity does not align us with any political or religious group; it aligns us with the universal, non-negotiable rights of every human being.

A Call to Peaceful, Lawful Action

To our fellow community members in Victoria and beyond, we urge you to:
  • Stand in peaceful solidarity with those in Iran advocating for their fundamental freedoms.
  • Speak out, share credible information, and amplify the voices of Iranians calling for dignity and justice.
  • Participate in lawful, non-violent advocacy and community education efforts that promote human rights to which you are aligned.
  • Support reputable, non-partisan humanitarian and human rights organisations assisting /supporting those activities fighting tyranny.
