Referral and Cultural Consultation Framework

The Australian Iranian Society of Victoria (AISOV) plays a key role in strengthening culturally responsive service pathways for the Iranian community in Victoria.

Building on our existing referral and consultation framework, AISOV seeks to strengthen and expand our capacity to meet the growing needs of the Iranian community and support mainstream services with culturally informed guidance .

Community Referrals

AISOV assists individuals and families to access appropriate services through culturally informed guidance and warm referrals. We work to:

  • Identify emerging and unmet needs within the Iranian community
  • Provide trusted information and service navigation support
  • Facilitate referrals to settlement, education, employment, legal, health, mental health, and family services
  • Support vulnerable individuals to engage confidently with service systems

Our approach reduces barriers to access and strengthens community confidence in mainstream services.

Cultural and Secondary Consultation

AISOV also receives inquiries from mainstream organisations seeking:

  • Cultural consultation regarding the Iranian community
  • Secondary consultation relating to Iranian clients
  • Advice on culturally appropriate engagement strategies
  • Support to connect and build trust with community members

Through these partnerships, AISOV contributes to improving service responsiveness, cultural capability, and inclusive practice across sectors.

As a trusted community-led organisation, AISOV acts as a bridge between the Iranian community and the broader service system, strengthening sustainable networks and collaborative partnerships.

If you are a community member seeking support, or an organisation seeking consultation or partnership, please contact AISOV to discuss how we can assist.
